The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The role of supervisory control in activating the credit policies of the banking sector / Applied research on a sample of Iraqi private commercial banks) for the student Omer Shaker Mahmood to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in banking and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.
The study aimed to indicate that supervisory control has an important role in activating and enhancing bank credit because of its importance in supporting the national economy or supporting one of the various economic sectors such as industry, innovation, infrastructure, health, and trade.
The study concluded that most of the banks in the research sample achieved low percentages of cash credit compared to deposits, based on the standard scores approved by the Central Bank of Iraq.
